1073 Alabandite with Rhodochrosite and Zoisite var. Tanzanite Merelani Hills (Mererani), Lelatema Mts, Arusha Region, Tanzania miniature 3.2 x 3.4 x 2.5 cm OK, so this a really a big Alabandite crystal, with a nice thick crust of Rhodochrosite and a trace of Tanzanite where the crystal was pried loose, perhaps to become a victim of some faceting machine.... But it is enough to demonstrate this association and occurance.
