Deaccessed 350 Okenite (artificially colored) (alledgedly) Long Mine, Jiang Xi Province, China small-cabinet 6 x 4.3 x 3.8 cm Alas, I am now of the belief that the saffron color is, uh, an embellishment. (close examination shows minor color on the matrix mineral...). Live and learn. I will probably delete this from the collection, or perhaps start a subcolleciton of 'synthetic' specimens. A shame, but apparently such practices are not uncommon among certain Chinese dealers or suppliers.
