425  Vivianite Walnut Creek, Contra Costa County, California, United States thumbnail 2 x 1.5 x 1.2 cm ex. James Moyer ex. James Moyer collection. Ref: Mineralogical Record, Volume 20 (September/October 1989), p 337-338. A 1987 find, at the time (and perhaps since) considered the best example of Vivianite found in California. This specimen was a must-have for me, as I lived in Walnut Creek from 1968 through 1975. For those of you who might be familiar with Walnut Creek ca. 1987, the site is the strech of canal running behind and between the Wells Fargo bank and the Victoria's Station Restaurant on South Broadway. label Mineral Occurances
