584  Pyromorphite Les Farges Mine, Ussel, Corrèze, Limousin, France small-cabinet 6.8 x 6.3 x 4.8 cm ex. Robert G. Sullivan. Dan Weinrich: One of the world's most famous localities for pyromorphite is that of the Les Farges mine in France. This locality only produced good specimens for a short period of time, during the mid to late 1970's. If one were to read some of Bob Sullivan's accounts of 'Letters from Europe' in The Mineralogical Record during that time period, it is easy to catch some of the excitement over these fine specimens at that time. This specimen above is from Bob Sullivan's personal collection, with his label. -----
