993  Rhodochrosite with Tsumcorite and Galena Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto (Oshikoto) Region, Namibia miniature 4 x 2.7 x 2.2 cm ex. Desmond Sacco Illustrated in Rhodochrosite: Crystals of Drama and Nuance, William S. Logan, M.D., 2013, self-published via Blurb, figure 330, page 132. I had been searching for a Tsumeb rhodo for years. I had only seen photos of one, and it was micro. Have only ever seen one other for sale... I was getting ready to go out the door the morning Jordi posted the update this was in. I couldn't resist a quick peek, and it took a while for me to realize what I was looking at. I presumed it to be a N'Chawning at first glance (!), but... Tsumcorite? I know of four other specimens. I've only seen pictures of one other, a single crystal, micro, on mindat.com. A dealer I know says he has one - I can't remember the descriptoin; and there is one listed in the University of Arizona Mineral Museum's catalog. So, I was shocked at how good this is, compared to what I had always lusted after in my imagination - perhaps a few 2mm crystals or something like that. Jordi says I beat the next buyer's "I want it" email by two seconds. Dumb luck can be soooo good! :-) ----- Photo courtesy of/©2010 Fabre Minerals label Mineral Occurances
